This property was absolutely wonderful! The home is cosy and well equipped for a great island stay. It has a washer and dryer, microwave, pots and pans, and American electric outlets. The locals do not drink the city water from the tap, so a filter system is installed in the refrigerator. My friends and I found the best way to reach this small island is to fly into Eleuthera from Miami. From Eleuthera, you need to arrange a cab and water taxi. There are several people who taxi for a living and are more than willing to take you to the island. Ask Andre Sands who she recommends. We called Pinder's Ferry Service and were very happy. Once on Spanish Wells, there is a golf cart rental service where you check in and get your key to the house. I recommend renting a golf cart, they can take you to the grocery store and local restaurants easily.
My friends and I also chartered a boat (thanks to the amazing Captain Shah Underwood) and went snorkeling and swam with the pigs. This was an awesome memory and was the highlight of our trip. We also bought some local fresh lobster and created a hilarious memory trying to cook it. It ended up being super delicious! All in all, this was the best vacation I've ever had, and I've traveled quite a bit.
A few things to keep in mind, this is a very small island, food can be expensive. The phenomena of "island time" is very real. Meals are serviced slower than in the states, but we found that quite nice for our vacationing. The people of the island are very friendly and they all know each other. There is almost no crime on this island.
All in all, I highly recommend this little piece of paradise!
